Ann Ramsay-Jenkins: 2017 Outstanding Philanthropist

Please join us in honoring Ann Ramsay-Jenkins as AFP Advancement Northwest’s 2017 Outstanding Philanthropist on Thursday, Nov. 2 at the organization’s annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon.

For decades, Ann has generously invested her time and resources toward philanthropic causes across the nonprofit sector. Here are a few of the many ways Ann is making a positive impact in our communities and on our world, in the words of organizations that nominated her:

“Through her incredible vision and grit, not to mention her incredible investment of both time and resources, (Ann) helps more than 12,000 students graduate high school and college each year.”

“Ann’s impact hasn’t only been felt by our two organizations. Her commitments have also encompassed service as the Board Chair of United Way of King County; on the UW Medicine Board; on the PATH Reach Campaign Committee; and as Board member at the 5th Avenue Theatre. Over the decades, Ann has also participated in many national causes, such as the… National Council for American Theatre; President Carter’s Advisory Committee for Women; the White House Fellows Foundation (where she was president) ...”

“Ann and her late husband, William M. Jenkins, believed in the power of the nonprofit sector to address critical issues in our society… In addition to providing direct governance and leadership, they have also invested millions of dollars in countless causes.”
