What Tax Reform Means for Your Development Plan 

Do you like small groups having deep discussions? Then Coffee & Conversations is the program series for you! This is a new program series we are trying in 2018 that is specifically designed to foster in-depth conversations around trending topics in our sector. The first conversation for next week will be about the impact tax reform is having on your development efforts. Come share how your organization is positioning communication and other development activities differently in light of tax reform in order to minimize impact.


Registration Fees

Members and Non-members: $5.00

In order to facilitate a good group discussion, this event is limited to 15 attendees. Pre-registration is required, as attendees will receive an article or paper to read in advance.


Program Summary 

Start your work day feeling inspired, energized, and connected! Coffee & Conversations is a facilitated discussion about the triumphs, challenges, and questions we face in our work as fundraisers. At each session we’ll explore something different: current events in the sector, board engagement, addressing and preventing burn out, strategies for making our fundraising accessible and inclusive, and more.

Before the Conversation, your facilitator will email you a short article or paper to read. At your Conversation, your facilitator will start things off with some discussion questions about the reading material, but where the Conversation goes is up to you and your peers!

While the topic of each Coffee & Conversations session will be different, the objectives of each Conversation are:

  1. Facilitate networking and build community among fundraisers in our region.
  2. Share and build knowledge through the cohort learning model.
  3. Provide fundraisers an opportunity to receive support and offer support to each other.

 Intended Audience

Coffee & Conversations are designed for individuals of any background or experience level.
