About Coffee & Conversations

Start your work day feeling inspired, energized, and connected! Coffee and Conversations is a facilitated discussion about the triumphs, challenges, and questions we face in our work as fundraisers. At each session we'll explore something different: current trends in the sector, board engagement, addressing and preventing burnout, fundraising tips, and strategies to get you to the next level, and more.

Before the Conversation, your facilitator will email you a short article, paper, or video to watch. At your Conversation, your facilitator will start things off with some interesting questions about that topic, but where the Conversation goes from there is up to you and your peers!

About the Facilitator:

Melissa Stuart, MNPL, is a Major Gifts Officer at Youth Eastside Services (YES) in East King County. She works with her team and board to strengthen community investment in youth and families battling depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and more. Outside of work, Melissa serves on the board of Zero Waste Washington, working to make trash obsolete. She's a mentor in Seattle University's Non-Profit Leadership Program and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.
