We are proud to announce that our chapter has once again earned recognition as one of AFP’s Friends of Diversity.

“I want to congratulate the AFP Advancement Northwest, which is playing a key role across Washington State in promoting diversity and inclusion in ethical and effective fundraising and educating the public about the importance of philanthropy and wise giving,” Andrew Watt, FInstF, president and CEO of AFP, said in a news release announcing the honor.

Advancement Northwest is one of 74 of AFP chapters — out of 243 worldwide — to be named 2015 Friends of Diversity.

“Our chapter has a longstanding tradition of striving for the highest level of inclusiveness,”   said Advancement Northwest President Ray Li. “This designation requires constant attention, intentional action and the full support of our leadership.”

Ray thanked our Diversity and Inclusion Committee for challenging Advancement Northwest members “to take pause, to inspire us and to make us better leaders in our field by ensuring that we have a supportive environment for our diverse communities to thrive.”
